Bought a bike with a speed problem. The manager refused to take it back. He did me a favour by promising to fix it. After the bike was fixed the problem remained the same. I had to argue with the manager for 1 hour to prove it. He took it back again. Next week the same. Eventually got an apology and a gift card instead the bike.Very stupid policy of Canadian tire of refusing to take bikes back. However , most of the stuff in that place are helpful and polite.

Just okay. I can't see this chain lasting another 10 years. No real reason to shop there anymore since more competitive chains have sprung up. These new chains have better pricing and better selection. Too bad, I grew up with Canadian Tire but then again I grew up with Steinberg too and that's gone for the reasons stated above...

Great selection of products and helpful staff. Good for small and medium projects, not for major Renovations.

The staple of good stores in Chateauguay. Been around for such a long time. With all the good quality products you'd expect from Canadian Tire.

I'm not a very big fan of this particular Canadian Tire Store in Chateauguay. I've called on numerous occasions, for appointments to have car repairs done and always have to wait a few days (sometimes more than a week), before there is anything available. The work is usually done slowly and there never seem to be enough mechanics. It might be time to hire more? The store itself is big, but, shelves aren't always well stocked. It seems I have more luck in the Canadian Tire stores of St. Constant and Valleyfield, than I do in Chateauguay.I used to like the garden center but, in the past few years, their choices of plants and flowers hasn't been very good. Might I suggest using a local supplier, next year? With all the growers in Mercier, St. Isidore and beyond, there must be one that would gladly sell to this Canadian Tire.I guess I could mention that the employees are very helpful and friendly. The only problem is...there aren't enough of them. I can't even count the number of times I find myself wandering around, looking for help from someone. Again...it might be a good idea to hire more people. The one person I truly wish they would actually get rid of is the credit card pusher right when you enter. (I can't think of any other store that does this.) Oh...and one last thing. I hate the new cash line. Everyone getting into the same line, moving along and being herded to the front. I feel like we're all cattle in a stock yard, being led to slaughter.
