This is a great restaurant. I wont comment on its authenticity since I'm not Indian :) but myself and a few other people I know go there every week. A few Indian coworkers that I've gone with have all enjoyed it. Personally, I love the flavors of all the dishes, the portion sizes, the choices, etc... the prices are pretty standard, maybe a little less expensive than the average Indian restaurant, but the lunch menu is inexpensive and great.I have had lunch here with loads of people, and not one had anything bad to say about it (except one weird guy with a COMPLETE intolerance to even mildly spicy dishes). If you're looking for a great restaurant on the south shore for lunch or dinner, you absolutely cant go wrong with Lal Kella
February 2018: Friendly staff, nicely decorated and reasonable prices but this is not Indian food. EVERYTHING was overly sweet (granted, the desserts were therefore amazing). There's a difference between MILD Indian cuisine and I guess...sweet? Indian cuisine. My brother ordered butter chicken, I ordered chicken korma and my cousins ordered biryani. I tasted everything and I kid you not, it felt like I was having dessert the whole time. I understand that perhaps in this area, people aren't accustomed to eating spicy food, but adding more sugar doesn't make food more mild or less spicy lol.
